Create or claim a Facebook Page

How to add a Page to your Business Account and make sure it's eligible for Lead Ads.

4 min read

The Facebook Page is what Zymblerreads from. It's what runs your Lead Ads, receives Messenger DMs, and links to your Instagram Business account. You need at least one Page connected to your Business Account.

Three scenarios

A. You already have a Page on your personal profile

Most common case. The Page exists, but it's tied to your personal Facebook profile — not your Business Account. You need to move it into the Business Account.

  1. Go to business.facebook.com

Sign in with the same account that owns the Page.
  2. Business Settings → Accounts → Pages

    In the left sidebar.
  3. Click 'Add'

Pick "Add a Page" → enter the Page name or URL.
  4. Confirm ownership

Meta checks that you're an admin of the Page. If you are, the Page gets added to your Business Account in seconds.

B. You don't have a Page yet

Create one from inside the Business Account so it's owned correctly from day one:

  1. Business Settings → Accounts → Pages → Add

    Pick "Create a new Page".
  2. Page name, category, and description

Use your business's real name. Category matters for ad targeting later — pick the closest match. Description is optional for now.
  3. Add a profile picture and cover image

Optional at this stage but recommended — Meta uses these to verify the Page is real before letting you run Lead Ads.
  4. Publish

The Page is live immediately. It'll start with zero followers — that's fine. Ads work regardless of follower count.

C. The Page is owned by someone else in your team

They need to request access for your Business Account (or add you as a Page admin and you repeat scenario A).

The cleanest path: ask them to add your Business Account as a Partner under Business Settings → Partners → Add.

Don't transfer ownership — share it
If the Page is owned by another agency or a former employee's Business Account, ask them to share access with your Business Account as a Partner — never transfer ownership. Transfers are irreversible and can lose ad history.

What Zymbler needs from the Page

During the Meta connection in Zymbler, you'll be asked to grant these Page-level permissions:

  • Read messages — to receive Messenger DMs from your leads.
  • Send messages as the Page — for the AI agent to reply.
  • Receive Lead Ads data — for instant lead delivery.
  • Manage Page metadata — needed to subscribe the Page to Zymbler's webhooks.

These permissions are scoped to this specific Page, not your whole Facebook account.

Eligibility for Lead Ads

To run Facebook Lead Ads (the most efficient way to capture leads into Zymbler), the Page must:

  • Have a published profile picture and cover image.
  • Comply with Meta's ad policies.
  • Be connected to an ad account with a payment method (Meta charges for ad spend, separate from any other fees).
