Before you start: what you'll need

Most of the friction during Zymbler setup happens because something on the Meta side isn't ready yet. Check this list before you click "Connect" and you'll save yourself 30 minutes of back-and-forth.

Required

1. A Meta Business Account (portfolio)

This is the legal container that owns your Pages, Instagram account, WhatsApp Business Account, and ad accounts. Create one at business.facebook.com if you don't have it.

2. A Facebook Page

Must be inside your Business Account (not just on your personal profile). If your Page lives under a personal profile today, you can add it to a Business Account from Business Settings → Accounts → Pages → Add.

3. Admin access to all of the above

You must be an Adminof the Business Account, the Page, and the WhatsApp Business Account. Developer or Editor roles won't see the right settings during connection.

4. A phone number you can dedicate to WhatsApp Business

The number must meet all of these:

• You can receive SMS or voice calls on it for OTP.
• It's not currently active on the WhatsApp consumer app or the WhatsApp Business app on any phone.
• It's not connected to another BSP (Gupshup, Twilio, AiSensy, etc.). If it is, you'll need to release it first.

5. Business Verification at Meta

Required to unlock high-volume sending and certain advanced permissions. The queue is 3–7 days, so start it now even if you aren't ready to send messages yet. What documents you'll need →

6. Instagram Business account (if you want IG DMs)

Personal IG accounts can't connect. Convert in the IG app: Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account → Business.

7. A clear sender name (Display Name)

When you connect WhatsApp, Meta will ask for the name that shows in recipients' WhatsApp as the sender (e.g., "Sundara Yoga Studio"). It must match your brand or legal entity — Meta rejects names that look generic, geographic, or impersonating.

What you do NOT need

• A Tech Provider / BSP account. Each Zymbler customer pays Meta directly for WhatsApp messaging — no special partnership tier required.
• A WhatsApp credit card upfront. Meta gives every WABA 1,000 free service conversations per month. You can add billing later, once you scale into paid templates.
• A dedicated phone or device. WhatsApp Business Platform is cloud-hosted — you never install an app or keep a phone online.
