The tick box that lets Zymbler message a Facebook or Instagram lead, and how Zymbler picks it.
Zymbler only starts a WhatsApp chat with a Facebook or Instagram lead who said yes to it. That yes is a checkbox on your lead form, next to the wording you write, such as “I agree to receive WhatsApp messages from us about my enquiry.” No box on the form means Zymbler saves the lead but sends no message.
Zymbler reads your form's checkboxes and picks the first one that contains the word “whatsapp”. Capital letters don't matter. If no box says that, the form is flagged on your Facebook Page card under Consent box:
Form “name” has no consent box, so its leads won't get a message.
If the form has boxes but none mention WhatsApp, the card asks you to choose one. Pick the right one from the dropdown (“Choose the WhatsApp box”). Your choice is kept on later syncs, as long as that box is still on the form.
In Meta's form builder, look for the privacy or disclaimer part of your instant form. Meta lets you add a custom disclaimer with checkboxes you write. Add one checkbox with the word WhatsApp in its text. Meta's menu names change, so look for the closest match.
Zymbler suggests this wording, and the card has a Copy wording button for it:
I agree to receive WhatsApp messages from your business name about my enquiry.
Write the box in your form's language, but keep the word WhatsApp in it (in Latin letters), or Zymbler won't find it on its own. You can always choose the box by hand on the card.
Meta's help says a custom disclaimer can't be added to a form that is already running in an ad. If the option is greyed out, duplicate the form, add the box to the copy, and use the copy in your ad. Zymbler finds the new form by itself within the hour, or as soon as its first lead comes in, and shows it on your Facebook Page card.
Meta makes the box required by default. If your form builder offers an Optional setting and you use it, some people will leave the box unticked. Zymbler still saves them as leads and notes Not messaged: didn't tick the consent box.
A form can also be set up so a box is already ticked (this is possible through Meta's API, and some tools do it). Zymbler warns you: This box is pre-ticked, so leads may not have really agreed. Zymbler counts a lead as agreed if the box shows as ticked, so a pre-ticked box tells you little. Keep the box unticked to start with.
